Murraysburg is the town to be found in the furthest north-east corner of the Western Cape.  This will be our base for the first few days and on our day 2 we get to run through the town.  The write up by their tourism board is captivating – “Nestled in a little-known valley in the Karoo lies the village of Murraysburg.  The little town with the big heart.  Framed by the beautiful Sneeuberg mountains on one side and the Buffalo River and stunning Karoo scenery on the others, Murraysburg is a town that time has almost passed by.”  The only problem is that we pass through Murraysburg early in the day and then we wind through the mountains away from it and head towards our next stop – wherever that may be.
