Day 11 is day where we change our surroundings as we exit out the Garden Route into the Klein Karoo. It is a “short” day but a tough one with a lot of climbing as the runners take on the historic Montagu Pass, built in 1848. Significant damage from the 2023 floods means that the runners will have a lonely trip up the pass as the vehicles won’t be able to accompany them. Hydration packs once again and enough battery life on the cameras to take some magical photos. Farewell George, farewell Garden Route.
